Service Technician

Location: Bozeman, MT

Due to our continued growth, we are currently seeking a Field Service Technician. The Service Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing various Fuel & Car Wash Equipment Manufacturer lines. The Field Service Technician will interact with customers daily regarding their equipment, providing excellent customer service, accurately providing technical information about service or repairs, and building and maintaining professional relationships. We provide service trucks for our technicians to start their day from home and cover travel expenses. Candidates must be self-starters who can operate independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, perform repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance on fueling systems.
  • Monitor and be accountable for the accuracy of parts inventory on service trucks, including transfers of parts to appropriate jobs and other service technicians, as applicable, as well as returns to warehouse facilities.
  • Analyze electronic and mechanical problems and provide necessary repairs.
  • Install, program, and test new equipment.
  • Communicate with customers and explain technical issues to non-technical individuals.
  • Present yourself professionally as a representative of EnergiSystems and be prompt when making service calls.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic equipment, PLCs, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment with direct supervision or technical expertise from Lead Technicians.
  • Perform diagnostic analysis on state-of-the-art automated vehicle wash equipment.
  • Conduct periodic scheduled maintenance of vehicle wash equipment.
  • Repair and correct malfunctions as necessary.
  • Assess customer chemical solutions and accurately measure the application of wash chemistry.
  • Modify or implement updates on equipment as required.
  • Prepare detailed service invoices for customers through Tablet or PC, via web-based software.
  • Maintain tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner.
  • Accurately interpret information from others.
  • Ensure appropriate flow of information and report matters clearly, concisely, and accurately.
  • Advise customers on the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Actively participate in resolving customer complaints.
  • Interface with customers and related company personnel to ensure effective communication and dissemination of information to establish superior customer service.
  • Resolve customer complaints professionally.
  • Assist in the installation of new vehicle wash equipment as necessary.
  • Perform weekend work on an on-call rotational basis.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in service station/fueling equipment repair, or Minimum 3rd-year Electrical Apprentice or Journeyman willing to learn the Fuel Industry.
  • Certification in Wayne or Gilbarco preferred. Additional certifications in Franklin Fueling Systems, Veeder-Root, EVO, Verifone, or Fuelmaster are a plus.
  • Electrical knowledge and excellent mechanical abilities.
  • Ability to operate mechanical equipment and machines as described.
  • High school education or GED.
  • Ability to travel with regular overnights expected – always home on weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Post-offer physical and drug screens are required for all positions. EOE
